Weekly Assignment and Food Storage Ideas (Week of November 20th)

Hi Carson Ward Family, Family and Friends,

Quote:

"Come, ye thankful people, come; Raise the song of harvest home.
All is safely gathered in Ere the winter storms begin.
God, our Maker, doth provide For our wants to be supplied.
Come to God's own temple, come: Raise the song of harvest home.

All the world is God's own field, Fruit unto his praise to yield,
Wheat and tares together sown, Unto joy or sorrow grown.
First the blade and then the ear, Then the full corn shall appear.
Lord of harvest, grant that we Whole-grain and pure may be. "
(Come, Ye Thankful People, Hymn # 94, LDS Hymn Book)

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Let us all be thankful not just this time of year, but all year long. How blessed we all are to live in this country where we enjoy the freedoms we do. How thankful we are for all those who have fought and given of their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy daily. Let us thank them each day and our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ for freedom and the gospel in our daily lives!

Once again I am excited about how the members are preparing their homes and families. Last night I was at a member's home and notice the family had #10 cans of freeze-dried/dehydrated food from Honeyville. It makes my heart sing when I see the members getting prepared!

  1. It really isn't all that hard to get some of these things done over a period of time.

Thanks for the sharing the plan and helping us work the plan.

  2. I need some recommendations on sun screen, when I apply the sun screen on my face it is Ok for a while unfortunately, as the weather gets hot as soon as I start sweating, the sweat rolls down my forehead into my eyes and I have a tough time with all the itching and tearing. Has anybody experienced the same thing, does anybody know how to avoid that problem?
